Actions that attract Barakah in sustenance;
[6] Marrying with intention of chastity
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Marry women, for verily they will bring wealth [through the blessing of nikah].”
(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 16161)
Allah Ta’ala Mentions:
“Get the unmarried ones among you married, as well as the righteous slave men and slave women. If they are poor, Allah will make them independent by his grace.”
(Surah Nur, verse: 32)
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas (radiyallahu ‘anhuma), under the commentary of this verse, would say:
“Allah Ta’ala commanded and encouraged them to get married, and he promised them wealth.”
Similar statements have also been reported from Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As Siddiq and Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhuma).

[7] Abundant Zikr and Salutations
Sayyiduna Samurah As-Suwai, the father of Jabir (radiyallahu ‘anhuma), reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:
‘Abundant dhikr and salutations upon me repels poverty…’
(Ma’rifatus Sahabah, Hadith: 3572)
💡Every Muslim should have a daily habit of Dhikr & Salutations.
During times of need, one’s tongue should always be engaged in the above.

[8] Refraining from sins
Sayyiduna Thawban (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said [as part of a longer Hadith]:
“A person is deprived of sustenance due to sins that he commits.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 4022, Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 872)
💡In addition to protection from deprivation of livelihood, abstinence from sin will also generate barakah in one’s earnings & life in general.

[9] The month of Barakah
Sayyiduna Salman (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said [as part of a longer Hadith]:
“It [Ramadan] is the month wherein a true believer’s sustenance is increased.”
(Ibn Khuzaymah, Hadith: 1887 & Shu’abul Iman, Hadith 3608)
💡In appreciation for this increase from Allah Ta’ala, we are encouraged to also increase our charity and spending on others during Ramadan.

[10] Abu Musa’s Al Ash’ari (radiyallahu ‘anhu) du’a after Salah
When Abu Musa [Al ‘Ash’ari] (radiyallahu ‘anhu) would complete his Salah, he would recite:
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِي رِزْقِي
Allahummagh fir li dhambi wa yassir li amri wa barik li fi rizqi
(Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith: 3050 and 29865)
Translation
O Allah! Forgive my sins, make my affairs easy and grant me barakah in my sustenance.
💎 Sayyiduna ‘Abu Musa Al Ash’ari (radiyallahu ‘anhu) himself has also reported a narration which states that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) would recite a similar du’a after Salah.
(Kitabud Du’a of Imam Tabarani, Hadith: 656)

[11] Continuously performing Hajj and ‘Umrah
Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Perform Hajj and ‘Umrah in succession, for they remove poverty and sins just as the bellows remove filth from iron, gold, and silver. There is no reward for an accepted Hajj except Jannah.”
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 810, Sunan Nasai; Al Mujtaba, Hadith: 2631)
💎 Some Hadiths encourage as a minimum -for those who have the means- to at least perform Haj or ‘Umrah once every four to five years.
(Sahih Ibn Hibban; Al Ihsan, Hadith: 3703, & others)

[12] Washing the hands before and after meals
Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Whoever would like Allah to increase the goodness/blessing of his home, should wash hands when his [meal] is brought to him and when it is taken away.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 3260, Zawaid Ibn Majah, Hadith: 1063)
💡 Allah Ta’ala has placed immense barakah (blessings) in every Sunnah of our Beloved (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam). Implementing the Sunnah totally, should be the goal of every Muslim.

[13] Keeping sheep/goats
Sayyidatuna Ummu Hani (radiyallahu’anha) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) told her:
‘Keep sheep/goats, for there is certainly barakah (blessings) in them.’
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 2304)
✅ Keeping and attending to such animals have multiple other benefits as well. Even the children in the home are positively affected by the experience.
Attending to goats/sheep is the sunnat of all the Ambiya (‘alayhimus salam).

[14] Making Salam when entering the home
Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) told Sayyiduna Anas (radiyallahu’anhu) [as part of a lengthy narration]:
O my son! Whenever you enter your house, say Salam. This will be a source of Barakah (blessing) for you and your family.
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2698)
💡One should have the habit of saying the Salam loudly enough for the people in the home to hear, and duly reply.
Salam has a unique effect of bonding hearts and creating love
